Through the collaboration with Karma, Panini has increased sales by close to SEK 17 million, built a loyal customer base of over 28,000 users in the app, and saved an impressive 253 tons of CO₂.

Challenge

With a large selection of carefully prepared lunches and fresh dishes, Panini, like many other lunch restaurants, experiences that sales of specific products vary day by day. Often, high-quality dishes run the risk of becoming over and going to waste.

Bad for the environment -- and last line.

Solution

In order to reduce waste while attracting new customers, Panini chose to work with Karma's SAVE solution. Through Karma, they can sell just the leftover goods, in the right quantity and at the right price — and customers know exactly what they're getting. This approach maximizes customer satisfaction and reduces food waste in a sustainable way.

Through clear guidelines, Karma has been seamlessly integrated into the company's operations and is used today in all Panini's stores.

Results

With the help of Karma, Panini Internazionale has not only reduced its food waste, but also attracted new customers who value sustainability and quality -- many of whom have now become loyal guests.

The results speak for themselves: Of the products Panini publishes through Karma, 76% are sold, and the collaboration has so far led to an increase in sales of almost SEK 17 million. In addition, Panini through Karma has built a loyal customer base of more than 28,000 users in the app. And not least saved an impressive 253 tons of CO₂.
